About the CenterThe Center for Innovation-Based Enterprise was created in December 2006 with support from OARDC’s AgBioscience Innovation Grant (ABIG) Program to assist inventors and firms seeking to move research discoveries to the market place. The Center facilitates the successful conversion of technologies, products, and processes into commercial use by providing a mixture of leading-edge basic research, applied research focusing on specific innovations, and professional services to entrepreneurs and start-up firms. Our research is directed to resolve conceptual issues in marketing, contract design, finance, and risk management. We conduct empirical research to develop, test, and refine information systems, tools, and decision aids designed specifically to improve the chances of successful commercialization of innovations within the agbiosciences. The Center is headquartered in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics. Center for Innovation-Based Enterprise, Agricultural, Environmental, & Development Economics |
